This past year, we: -- Celebrated our tenth anniversary. -- Offered 108 writing workshops and roundtables, led by 17
teachers. -- Sent email newsletters praising our published writers. -- Sponsored a public reading at Marian Center's Grotto Green. -- Welcomed 64 young authors to our summer camps. -- Started a scholarship fund for young authors. -- Sublet studio space to 12 writers and artists. -- Were interviewed, written about and photographed. for teachers) is scheduled for July-August. ROUNDTABLE CRITIQUE
GROUPS start in January, March and May. (Summer TBA) We'll meet two rather than three times per month. See new
dates, hours and fees. Groups will have a max. of 12 participants, so
you'll want to get your registrations in early. Please pay in full for

send it again. SHANNON JACKSON ARNOLD was interviewed over 20 times on radio and television about her book "Everybody Loves Ice Cream."
She was also featured in several magazines and newspapers, including a large spread in USA Today. SHAUNA SINGH BALDWIN's novel "The Tiger Claw" was
shortlisted for the Giller Prize. Shauna also toured Canada and read at the Vancouver International Writers Festival. ELAINE BERGSTROM was featured in an article written by Jackie
Loohaus for Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. DAVE BIEMANN had a piece published in Crimespree magazine. LU BOLLOW's novel "Dr. Zastro's Sanitarium" received a
rave review in Midwest Book Review and in Publisher's Weekly. CHRISTI CLANCY won first place in the 24-hour writing contest co-sponsored by The Capital Times and the Wisconsin Book Festival.
Her story was published in The Capital Times. DIANE GOFF's story "Blue" appeared in the October issue
of Southern Distinction. STACEY KANNENBERG and LINDA DESIMOWICH sold 1500 copies of their October, 2004 release, "Let's Get Ready For
Kindergarten!" BARBARA MALCOLM had two of her stories accepted by Penwomanship (online and print). Titles: "Traditions" and "The Martian
Death Cold." MEL MISKIMEN writes a regular advice column for MKE. It's titled
"Ask Mom" and features Mel's responses to issues posed by 25-35
year-olds. Ask her a question! JOHN NICHOLS' book "Dick, The Man Who Is President," was
published by The New Press. (John taught in one of our "Writing for Social
Change" workshops.) SARA RATTAN's award winning short story "Neighbors,"
will appear in the winter issue of Wisconsin Academy Review. KATHERINE SCHERER and EILEEN BODOH published a book of daily
readings titled "Gratitude Works." KIM PARSONS edited the book. JUDY STEININGER's article about Redbird, "Wind Beneath Their
Wings," was published in the October City issue of M magazine. (Thank you,
Judy) JUDY WEISS's poem "Morning Sun" was published in the
fall issue of Milwaukee Yoga Magazine. This is a first for Judy. RICK WHALEY's article "The Green Party and Walt Bresette" was published in News from Indian Country. PATRICIA WEISBERG won second place in the Wisconsin Regional
Writers' Jade Ring competition for her article "Misses of Color." MARK ZIRBEL's story "Lost in Elaine" is in Issue Two of
